Rev. Dr. Carla A. Romarate-Knipel
A third-generation Baptist minister, Rev. Dr. Carla A. Romarate-Knipel has served as pastor of Central Baptist Church of Woodbury from 2010 up to the present. She earned her Bachelor of Theology and Master of Divinity degrees from Central Philippine University (CPU); and her Doctor of Ministry degree at Palmer Theological Seminary of Eastern University, Wynnewood, Pennsylvania.
Her adult Sunday School Lessons in Journeys, and devotional reflections and poems had been published by Judson Press in “The Secret Place,” and you can read her poems and essays in her blog, “Choose Joy” at https://calayrk.org
Minister of Music
Rev. Boyd L. Fox
A retired United Methodist Minister, Rev. Fox began his music ministry at Central Baptist Church in 2013. Under his leadership, our Senior Choir has enjoyed singing together and make music for God’s glory and to bless the congregation assembled to worship. We are also blessed every week with his musical talents at both the organ and piano.
Church Custodian
Stephanie Jones
A long-time resident of Woodbury, Stephanie Jones has served as custodian at Central Baptist Church since May 2010. She also works as an aide at the West End Elementary School.
Church Administrator
Heidi L. Louis
Born and raised in Woodbury, Heidi Louis is a long-time member of Central Baptist Church and began serving as Church Moderator and Administrator in 2010. She is also a founding member of the Greater Woodbury Cooperative Ministries.
Senior Sound Technician & Treasurer
William Mays Jr.
As senior sound technician, William Mays Jr. is responsible for the audio and video needs of the church. He prepares the technical scripts for the church service and is responsible for coordinating and scheduling of the volunteer audio/video technicians. He is also the financial steward of the church and oversees the budget, financial reporting, and cash flow.
In addition, he supports the mission of the church, which involves preparing budgets, monitoring expenses, advising the church, managing bank accounts, setting financial policies, and ensuring legal/tax filings are timely and accurate. Also a long-time member of Central Baptist Church, Bill (as he is known to his Central Baptist family) sings with the CBC Senior Choir and provides technical support to the Greater Woodbury Garden Club that meets at the church once a month on Tuesday night.
