Central Baptist Church is pleased to be host to a free clothing closet, Jeanette’s Closet. Jeanette’s Closet provides free clothing (shirts, pants, coats, hats, gloves, shoes, socks, etc.) as well as linens (sheets, pillowcases, blankets, towels, wash cloths, etc.) to anyone in need.
Jeanette’s Closet is open Tuesdays from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and is located on the 2nd floor of the church (not wheelchair accessible).
Entrance to the Closet is on S. Jackson St through the door with the ramp.
Donations of clean clothing and linens may be dropped off at the W. Centre Street side door, but only on Tuesdays during our hours of operation. Do not leave any items by the door during off hours.
Please note that furniture, mattresses, or other large household items, as well as men’s suits, sport coats, and women’s gowns are not accepted. Each person is allowed two shopping bags and 20 minutes to shop. If children come with an adult, they must be with the adult at all times.
