The season of Advent begins on Sunday, December 1.
OUR ANNUAL CHURCH BUSINESS MEETING is on DECEMBER 1 right after the worship service. Let us pray for this important worshipful work. Church members are greatly encouraged to stay and participate in this meeting. Your presence is much appreciated.
An Invitation to you, your Family and Friends:
Preparing for Advent and Christmas 2024: A Global Advent Journey to Christmas
This year I would like to invite you, your family and friends to ‘A Global Advent Journey to Christmas’. Each Sunday in Advent will feature a region in the world where followers of Jesus prepare to celebrate Jesus’ birth according to their culture and traditions.
We will travel to Bethlehem, like the shepherds in the Christmas story, through readings from Scripture, stories, songs and symbols. We will begin right here at home (Woodbury) and with our neighbors (The Americas: North, South & Hispanic America), then to Europe, to Africa, Asia and on Christmas Eve, Bethlehem.
Please pray for this spiritual and cultural pilgrimage and come with your family and friends to join us in this joyful journey and celebration of Christ’s birth.

CHRISTMAS GWCM 2024 TOY and GIFT COLLECTION
It is that time of the year to collect toys for the children of the clients of The Greater Woodbury Cooperative Ministries Food Bank for Christmas 2024. We are collecting donations of New and Unwrapped toys and gifts for infant through 17 years. You can drop off your donations at Central Baptist Church on Tuesdays (starting Nov. 5, through Dec. 3), 9:30-11:30 a.m. (please use the ramp entrance at 37 S. Jackson Street and label donations for GWCM Christmas Toy collection); and Sundays at Central Baptist Church main entrance to the worship auditorium also at 37 S. Jackson Street. Thank you to all who have given in the previous years and to all who are giving this year. May God bless you and your family as you generously share to those in need.
